The Opportunity

The Project Coordinator - Ports & Terminals is responsible to provide coordination and administration support through the full life cycle of terminal infrastructure projects. This includes supporting the planning, permitting, consultation, procurement, engineering design, construction, and commissioning of terminal infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide coordination and administration support through the full life cycle of terminal infrastructure projects
  • Support the planning, permitting, procurement, engineering design, construction, and commissioning of terminal infrastructure projects
  • Liaise internally with terminal operations, technology, safety, and security groups to seek alignment on project performance and technical requirements
  • Prepare submissions, reports, and presentations to facilitate the approval and delivery of projects
  • Prepare RFQ and RFP documentation and participate in the selection, and coordination of consultants and contractors
  • Prepare schedules for project delivery and resource management
  • Coordinate site investigations, topographic surveys and other pre-construction contracts with contractors and terminal operations
  • Coordinate construction activities between contractors and terminal operations and conduct quality, safety, and environmental inspections
  • Assist with the preparation of project progress and cost tracking reports

What you bring to the role:

  • A university degree related to civil engineering, environmental science, construction management or related discipline along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated major project experience related to the planning, permitting, procurement, engineering design, construction supervision, commissioning, and contract administration of infrastructure project with construction values >$20 million.
  • Outstanding computer skills.
  • Experience using project management and drafting software
  • This position is ideal for a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and positively with all contacts, internally and externally
  • Must be able to work independently, accurately and on own initiative to maintain work output with minimum supervision
  • Must be a highly organized and detailed-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to perform multiple tasks as required
  • Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
  • Fluent in English.
